biography

Karolina Rzepa was born on July the 9th, 1992 in Warsaw, Poland and grew up in the countryside near Warsaw. She decided to became an actress relatively late, at the age of eighteen. Karolina got her first experience in front of the camera working as a model in Poland, Japan, China and Austria, before beginning professional acting training at the Aleksander Sewruk Acting Studio, at the Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Olsztyn. During this time she took part in PWSFTviT student workshops and worked with director, Jan Jakub Kolski for the first time. In 2015 Karolina began studying at the National Academy of Theatre Arts in Krakow, whose faculty is located in Wroclaw. Whilst there, she worked mostly as a guest performer in movies, television series, and student projects. In addition, Karolina performed in two of Kolski’s films, “Las, 4 rano” (2016) and “Ułaskawienie” (2018) establishing a good working relationship with the director. In 2020 Kolski invited her to work on his next film “The Republic of Children”, this time in the lead role. Immediately after graduating , Karolina started working on her debut leading role in the series “Dom Pod Dwoma Orłami” (House of Two Eagles). We eagerly await the premiere of a film where Karolina takes center stage in the leading role: Two Sisters, a Polish-Ukrainian production directed by Łukasz Karwowski. This gripping project, set against the raw backdrop of Ukraine during the first year of war, promises to be a poignant exploration of resilience, sisterhood, and the unyielding human spirit. Shot on location in war-torn Ukraine, the film captures not only the landscapes of a country in turmoil but also the emotional depths of those navigating life in the shadow of conflict. A remarkable collaboration, Two Sisters is a testament to the power of storytelling in times of crisis.
